The Home Renovation Tax Credit is in effect for renovations over that are over $1,000, and under $10,000. You can get back up to $1,350, a saving of 13.5 per cent, a $20,000 job would also return $1,350, a saving of 6.75 per cent.
Some of the renovations that qualify include:
• Renovating your kitchen, bathroom or basement.
• Painting your house.
• Installing new carpeting or flooring.

After a long, rainy Vancouver winter watching home improvement shows, people are starting to get the urge to make some major changes in their homes and lives.

The way we feel in our lives can be in a large part a direct reflection of our home and vice versa. When our home becomes cluttered and disorganised, the energy becomes stagnant and scattered, and the feeling begins to manifest in our everyday lives. We can start to feel overwhelmed when we come home after a long work week instead of welcomed and relaxed. People often start to think that the solution is to buy something new to perk up their home, but often, what is needed is less, not new.
